Description

Dymally wrote a letter to President Ford asking him to grant a full and unconditional presidential pardon to Iva Toguri d'Aquino. Ms. Toguri was a Japanese-American DJ who was convicted on one count of treason and lost her citizenship for allegedly broadcasting Japanese propaganda while stranded in Japan during WWII. Dymally mentions that the people who spoke against her in court did not only admit to lying but her broadcasts showed she was not trying to manipulate but assist American troops.
