The Cal State LA Special Collections and Archives provide students, staff, researchers, and the general community access to primary sources on an appointment basis. A collection associated to Mexican American/ ChicanX History is the East LA Collection at CSULA. There are two types of appointments you can make as a researcher. These include (1) Research Consultations and (2) Primary Source Research Appointments. Before you are interested in scheduling a Primary Source Research Appointment, please make sure you are aware of the collection you would like to view.

Citing Digital Collections and Archives
The purpose of this guide is to assist researchers working with primary sources by providing guidance in the citation process. In most cases, Finding Aids will state their "preferred citation," but in the case that this is not available, this guide can assist in developing a well-rounded citation that ensures credit is given where it is due.
