GRITO Series Testimonios

Description: The GRITO Series is a project run by a coalition of Cal State Los Angeles students and faculty. GRITO is an acronym for Getting Revolutionary and Intersectional Testimonios Out. This series consists of oral histories/ testimonials from hidden figures in the Chicana/o/x Movement. Some of the most influential women in these interviews include Victoria Castro (Walkout Leader & Young Chicanos For Community Action Founder), Gloria Arellanes (Leader in the Brown Berets), Maria Elena Gutierrez (UMAS & organizer), and Maria Baeza (UMAS VP).
