Evaristo Martinez interviews his mother, Feliciana Castañeda about her experiences growing up as a child in Veracruz and her immigration to the U.S. as an adult. Castañeda is an epileptic and she describes her struggles of obtaining treatment during her childhood and how she managed it as an adult. Lastly, Castañeda describes her experiences speaking Zapotec, and how she has watched the use and impact of the language change throughout her life.
